Course Overview and Significance

In today’s competitive world, business and finance have assumed critical significance for planning, control and decision-making.

This three-year program offers an extensive curriculum in all the facets of accounting – both manual & computerized and trains a student to become an accounting wizard. It allows an in-depth study on Micro and Macro Economics with the latest concepts of Liberalization, Privatization & Globalization (LPG). Taxation allows the student to learn computation of direct and indirect taxes while Statistics has assumed unprecedented dimensions and statistical thinking is becoming indispensable since it embodies the theory & techniques used for collecting, analyzing and drawing inferences from numerical data.

To ease accelerated learning, the basics of Business Law and Auditing with its statutory provisions permits students to apply them in everyday situations. The fundamental principles of Business organizations with the modern financial systems like E- Banking, Information Technology equip the students to manage finance and commerce. Equipped with this knowledge, B.com graduates are best suited for varied opportunities in the field of modern commerce that is turning the wheels of the Indian economy.

An extended focus of this program is the specialization in Computer Science. Since India is looked upon as an intellectual IT hub across the globe, this program trains its students in the field with latest job oriented syllabi. It caters to the needs of ITES industry, BPO’s, Software & Web Development.
